Our Story
Andrew and Jenny grew up in southwest Iowa, and Andrew’s family has been coming to Perham, and staying on Little Pine since the 1940’s. Andrew and his family have been staying at Char-Mac since 1993. When Andrew was 14 years old he announced to his mom and dad, “Someday I’m going to move to Perham, buy Char-Mac, and get paid to go fishing and hunting.”Well, I’m close! Jenny and I were married in 2006, and she got to make her first family vacation trip with us to Perham (our children are the 5th generation of my family to come to Little Pine Lake yearly). She recalls telling my mother, “I had better fall in love with this town, because I’m certain we are going to be living here someday." It took us 14 years, but here we are. We have three children, Elizabeth, Wyatt, and Eve, who share our love of Little Pine Lake and Perham and are as excited as we are to be able to live at Char-Mac. Our goal with Char-Mac is to keep it the family-friendly resort that we’ve all come to enjoy over the years. Char-Mac is about making memories.

After years of dreaming, they now proudly call Char-Mac home with their three children, the fifth generation to enjoy Little Pine Lake. Their goal is simple: keep Char-Mac the family-friendly place where lasting memories are made.
